ARTEXPRESS catalogues from past years are available for sale from eBOS Shop Online.
The ARTEXPRESS exhibition is held in the year after works are submitted for the NSW Higher School Certificate. For example, works submitted for the HSC examination in 2007 are exhibited in ARTEXPRESS venues during 2008. So if you are looking for a specific artwork or artist it will be located in the catalogue that relates to the year it was submitted for the HSC.
There is also an Inside ARTEXPRESS CD-ROM produced by the Board of Studies NSW which gives you a background on how ARTEXPRESS is organised and run each year. There is also an Inside ARTEXPRESS website published by the Art Gallery of NSW which gives you background information on the role of the AGNSW in the annual exhibition.

Different aspects of the ARTEXPRESS exhibition appear in nine galleries in NSW at different times throughout the year.
This two-CD set contains the only complete collection of the works of these remarkable young artists cross-referenced by name, school and exhibition. Each artist describes his or her thoughts on their art and its creation.
Disc 1
Disc 1 is the complete ARTEXPRESS catalogue for all nine exhibition venues. Click on an artist’s name to see the image and details of the artist and their work. Read each artist’s statement – see how and why these outstanding artworks were created.
Disc 1 also contains the introduction to ARTEXPRESS on video by the President of the Board of Studies NSW, and discussions and critiques by curatorial staff at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the College of Fine Arts University of NSW, Hazelhurst Regional Gallery & Arts Centre, and the Armory Gallery at Sydney Olympic Park.
Most students submitted several pieces for their body of work. In many cases, due to space restrictions, their works are represented at the exhibitions by one or more selected pieces. The images on this disc aim to depict the most appropriate overview of the body of work. Because of the number of pieces in each body of work it is not possible to present measurements of individual works.
Disc 2
Disc 2 Select and view the videos and digital animations. The catalogue information for these artworks is repeated from Disc 1. Each video plays automatically when you click on an artist’s name – so turn up the volume, watch and enjoy these remarkable short films created and presented for the 2006 New South Wales Higher School Certificate in Visual Arts.
